NEW PARENT SITE COUNCIL MEMBER NEEDED.
The Northgate Site Council has an opening for one new parent member for a 2 year term starting in September. The site council
meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the afternoon. If you are interested, please prepare a one paragraph resume and
email it to Karin Deas at deasusa2@gmail.com by July 3, 2009.
Walk-through Registration Volunteers Needed!
Walk-through registration days are August 21st and 24th. We need over 100 parent volunteers to assist with this important
process. If you volunteer, then your student can bypass the line to register. Please contact Donna Warnken-Brill at
rhinojwb@astound.net to sign up to volunteer. Thank you in advance for your help!
Walk-through Schedule:
- Friday August 21
- 8am-11am - 9th Grade
- 1pm-4pm - 11th Grade
- Monday August 24
- 8am-11am - 10th Grade Eye and Vision Testing (all day)
- 1pm-4pm - 12th Grade
- 5pm-7pm - All Grades
If you have two or more students registering, you can bring them at the same time.
A parent or guardian is required to accompany
their student to registration. Schedules will not be provided to students if parents are not present. If you are unable to
attend these dates, make-up registration will be available on the first day of school.

Essay Writing and UC Applications Workshops
to be offered August 25, 2009
Juniors can get a head start on their College Essays this summer at a College Essay Workshop
co-sponsored by the Career Center and Independent College Advisors Lee Oller and Sara
Schroeder. Also, Mrs. Brands will present a workshop in the morning in the College
& Career Center. We will work on the Activities and Awards sections of the UC application and
Common Application.
UC Application Workshop - 10am - 12noon
Essay Writing workshop - 1pm - 3pm
