PFC Bylaws Revision

Our current bylaws are in the process of being amended. Please review our current bylaws (dated March 2011) and the revised DRAFT dated March 7, 2015. The PFC will vote to amend the current bylaws at the April 16 General PFC Meeting.

We want YOU as our resident experts!

We are currently constructing a database of parents and community members who are willing to serve as expert advisers in all areas. Would you be willing to share your expertise about electrical engineering, mural painting, business, library science, government and law, architecture, or any other field? Do you have resources that could be shared with teachers and students? Could you help us with specific projects happening in our classrooms? If so….we want you!

Walnut Creek Public Library for Teens

Teen Time: Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm The meeting room is available for you to study, hang out and chat with friends. Drinks and munchies are provided.

Teen movie: March 20 at 4:00 pm Come hang out, watch a movie and enjoy munchies and drinks!

Scribblebot Mania!: March 21 at 11:00 am What is a Scribblebot? It is a motorized contraption that wiggles and jiggles across the paper creating its own unique picture. Your design and creativity will transform random parts into an art-making machine ... or bot.

Teacher Appreciation Committee

Volunteers Needed!

The Teacher Appreciation Committee is looking for volunteers to donate food for the teacher appreciation luncheons that are held on throughout the year.

We will send out an email with food items that are requested before each event and you can choose what donations you would like to provide. Typically, the food can either be dropped off at school the morning of the lunch or at a designated house the evening before the event. Typical food requests include salads, soups, pastas, desserts, breads, etc.This is a great way to show your appreciation for our wonderful Northgate teachers.

The encouraged contribution for 2014-15 is $350 or more per student. However, we understand that every family’s situation is different, and our goal is to have 100% participation from Northgate families, regardless of the dollar amount of the donation. No amount is too small and every dollar makes a difference for our school.

Your donation funds College and Career counselors, Naviance, support counselors on campus, on-site computer technician, extra class periods, teacher training and development, and more.
